Qualifications & insurance

Competence for the task.

Relevant qualifications, training and project documentation form part of planning the right people and equipment for your site.

William’s qualifications

Plant operations.
Street works.

Certificates are matched to the individual and task. Relevant categories, units and expiry dates should be checked during onboarding.

CPCS excavators

360 tracked excavators above and below 10 tonnes, plus wheeled 360 excavators, including lifting operations within the relevant certification.

Telehandler & dozer

Telehandler and crawler dozer qualifications support the relevant machine operations, with competence matched to the equipment and site requirements.

Operative certificate held

NRSWA Street Works

NRSWA Street Works Operative certificate held by William Whiting. The specific units, registration and validity are checked against the work before mobilisation. This is an operative qualification.

Task-specific training

Safe methods.
Prepared people.

Training supports the working method; it does not replace site-specific planning or checks.

First aid

First aid training supports emergency arrangements. Provision is agreed for each site and communicated to the workforce.

Asbestos awareness

Awareness training supports recognition and escalation of suspected materials. Specialist removal requirements are assessed separately.

Manual handling

Consider loads, access and mechanical assistance before lifting or carrying.

Abrasive wheels

Relevant training supports equipment selection, inspection and safe use.

Face fit

Tight-fitting respiratory protection must match the operative’s face fit test, mask model and size.

Site documentation

Discuss required cards, training records, RAMS, COSHH and toolbox talk arrangements during onboarding.

Insurance & onboarding

Check the cover.
Agree the requirements.

Tell us the cover levels and policy requirements specified by your project, including any excavation depth, plant, hired-in equipment or specialist activity conditions.

Relevant insurance documents and the scope of cover should be reviewed before appointment and mobilisation. Requirements are discussed alongside the agreed work package.
