CSCS & CPCS
Our operatives are trained and qualified for their duties. Relevant CSCS cards support site roles, with CPCS qualifications matched to the machines and operations undertaken.
Safe working starts with the right people, clear planning and a team that understands the job. Our approach puts the wellbeing of operatives, clients and the public at the centre of every project.
No health and safety incidents across our project experience. That record reinforces our focus on planning, competent people and clear site communication on every job.
Our team brings practical experience and relevant qualifications to site. Cards, training and competence are matched to each operative’s role, the equipment being used and the project requirements.

Face fit testing for operatives using tight-fitting respiratory protection, matched to the specific mask model and size. Suitable RPE forms part of the task’s dust-control measures.
Trained first aiders form part of our team. First-aid arrangements, equipment and emergency contacts are agreed for each site and communicated to the workforce.
Awareness training helps our operatives recognise potential asbestos risks. Suspected materials trigger a stop, isolation of the area and notification to site management. Awareness training does not authorise asbestos removal.
Manual handling training supports safer lifting and carrying. We plan loads, access and handling methods, using mechanical aids or team lifts where appropriate.
Machine and attachment competence, site requirements and refresher training are considered before work begins. Relevant cards and training records can be discussed during project onboarding.
From the first site discussion to the final clear-up, our safety approach focuses on practical controls, clear responsibilities and communication with everyone involved.
Site-specific risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), together with COSHH assessments where required, set out the work sequence, hazards and controls. We coordinate with the client and principal contractor on site arrangements.
Site inductions, task briefings and regular toolbox talks reinforce safe working. Topics include service strikes, excavation, plant movements, dust, lifting, manual handling and housekeeping. Briefings are revisited when conditions change.
Plan pedestrian routes, exclusion zones and plant movements. Check machines, attachments and lifting accessories before use, with inspection and examination requirements matched to the equipment and task.
Review service information, scan and locate underground services, and use permit-to-dig arrangements where required. Plan suitable trench support or safe battering, access and inspections for the ground conditions.
Use suitable PPE alongside controls for dust, noise and vibration. Consider dust suppression or extraction, welfare, safe handling of substances and task-appropriate respiratory protection.
Agree emergency procedures before starting. Encourage operatives to stop and raise concerns if work becomes unsafe, and report incidents and near misses so controls can be reviewed.
Every operative should be able to raise a concern. Changed ground conditions, unexpected services or suspect materials mean the task is paused and the working method reviewed before continuing.
Waste management belongs in the plan from the outset. Our approach aims to reduce unnecessary waste, protect the surroundings and keep disposal traceable.
Plan storage and segregation of suitable waste streams, prioritising reuse and recycling where appropriate. Keep hazardous or suspect materials separate for specialist assessment and handling.
Arrange waste movements through appropriately registered carriers and authorised receiving facilities. Keep the required waste transfer or consignment documentation for the waste being moved.
Maintain good housekeeping and clear access routes. Plan controls for dust, spills, runoff and mud leaving site, with consideration for neighbouring properties and the public.
